IF in the future it is a requirement for any school that has children (minors) in it (think Theocratic Ministry SCHOOL) (kinda iffy with Watchtower STUDY but with a study of something you might tend to think students) that they might have to have a POLICE CHECK to make sure the adults are truly fine, individuals with upstanding morals, not PEDOPHILES.

It is October 2015 and all the naive (I was one) innocent's, believe the GB speaks for GOD and the faithful JW's will think, Oooohhh... changes again! We are soooo close to the Big A. It truly is just around the corner. I have heard that since the 1950's. ALL the old ones that told me that are DEAD.

So the GB has sent their warm Christian love and best wishes (fantasy thinking? What's with that?). The congregation now has to pick up the expenses (of course).

LoisLane... Now so happy and free. Life is truly wonderful out of WT.

Ancestry.com is a Mormon site. As a Mormon, do you get a cut rate?

My cousin was a Jack Mormon. Her husband was an Elder. She kept the booze under the kitchen sink and always had her coffee in the morning. When she died, she was dressed in a white gown and a bonnet with a veil that was drawn over her face as a bride waiting in death until her husband died so they could be together forever in heaven. Before she died, she could hardly stand the sight of her husband. Don't know how that marriage in heaven thingy is going to work out for her and him. (???)

Did you wear the magic underwear? I never knew that about the Mormon's otherwise I probably would have asked my cousin. She was given to sexy everything so I really doubt she wore them.

I would like to know about Mormon discipline of children. JDub children are expected to be quiet. For a child to fuss, is like showing that the parents have not taught the child correctly (as in they haven't completely broken their child's spirit yet). Is it normal to hear children howling from spankings given in the bathrooms at the Mormon Temple?

Feature request: threaded PM conversations.

just a feature request.

not necessary, however it's just a suggestion.. it'd be nice to have threaded conversations in the private message system so you can see what the person who replies to your message was replying to.. sometimes it's days between messages and you have to go back into your sent folder to find out what they're talking about for context.. just an idea..

SIMON: Would a Search name/word feature for PM's like we have for regular threads be at all possible?

Like you said, Cappy, sometimes it is days before someone replies to a PM and it gets lost amongst others.

i'm still amazed he said this when he was questioned by the rc in austraila.... if anyone is in any doubt that the gb are "full on in" then that statement he made just proves these gb guys are 100% captive to the concept that they are chosen by god to be guardians of the galaxy er i mean doctrine.

What I think doesn't really matter except to me but my 2 cents is the GB are sociopaths and so are their kiss up helpers. They are only interested in power, status, and soon living in their lakeside estate like big shots.

They want all your money, before death and after. Greedy.

You have to do what they say even though this Big Boys Club (GB) keep moving the 'goal' post. Arrogant.

They allow pedophiles to roam freely in amongst others who are unknowing. They honestly do not care about the victims. Unfeeling, EVIL bastards.

The GB lie but they don't get DF for it. Hypocrites!

Similarities between the Governing Body and an abusive spouse

i was looking at a list of methods used by abusive spouses to manipulate and control their "domain" and was struck by how similar the mentality is to the governing body's approach to the flock.

@MAD Irishman: Speak for yourself. Did any of the above happen to you? You have some female friends... What did they tell you? Everything? Or just what they felt you could take, comphrend, listen to, which doesn't sound like much and most obviously, you coud never grow up to be a Professional Therapist dealing with abuse victims. You are a squirt kid talking out your butt about things you do not know! So maybe sit in the corner, with your face to the wall and keep your thoughts on abusive mates with such strong similaries between the Governing Body and WT to yourself and listen to what the adults have to say on this issue.

I have often wanted to bring this analogy up, just as you have Zoos but I want to be happy every day and not think back to both my WT decades and an abusive mate of decades.

It IS so very much the same thing.

Heartsafire, Hello. It is so very nice to have you with us.

This is a scenario that hopefully gently wakes your husband up and 'honors' his headship at the same time.

What if you tell him the last time you were out, the householder mentioned that there is no 607 BCE in any literature, except WT literature. That it is a false date. Mention to your husband that you haven't looked up the date of when Babylon fell because what if the householder is correct? That means we are worshiping a false religion. What should we do? Do you think we could look it up together?

The world is so wondrous and life is too precious to waste as free labor to a world wide real estate developement company.

frankly saying, i've tried to be a complete ex-ex-jw so that ex-jw things would not drive my life mad.

due to my linguistic barrier of writing in a foreign language, 12 years ago, i could not but read and read and read this site.

PS AntiEntropy, Can you tell us if the JW brother's in Korea are still going to prison because of belonging to the Watch Tower (Real Estate and Redevelopement Company?) What a shock it will be for them to read any enlightening information that exposes Watch Tower lies. After they leave prison would you have any idea how their lives are? Is it hard for them to find work and have a successful life? Are there libraries in those prisons with computers? Is anyone 'allowed' to sign up and go as an outsider to those prisons and give 'community' information talks about JW's, as in real truth talks? Can your father donate some copies of his book to the prison libraries?
